Cedar Breaks National Monument
Utah

A hat stuck in the pines, on a hill, in the snow, 10 thousand feet up. Bristlecone pine actually, a very, very old tree. These are a few of our favorite things.

Cedar Breaks National Monument is one cool vista. It’s elevation is very high at over 10,000 feet, and apparently it snows on occasion as you can see in the images.

It’s an interesting place in that there is no official access into the bowels of the monument. Still, it’s way cool to look at from above. There are a couple of relatively short, 2-4 mile hikes that give stunning views. Views here are from the Spectra Point 2 mile round trip trail.
