Bit Patterns

A historical computational sciences computer graphics video from the NASA Glenn (NASA Lewis at the time) Research Center. The GVIS Lab was a pioneer in scientific visualizations, using a hardware-based Avid video editing system, 1″ video reel to reel recorders, SGI workstation software and other now antiquated tools to create videos.

The music was generated by an early electronic simulated orchestra.  Instrumentation called for:  flute and wood flute, pipe organ, 2 xylophones and bells (left and right), cymbals, synthesizer, and strings.
