Bit Patterns

This award winning piece was written with science in mind.  Bit Patterns was used as the music to a Peter Quinn produced Scientific Visualization video for the NASA Glenn Research Center’s GVIS (Graphics and Visualization) laboratory. This short video won “Special Honorable //Mention” in the “Best of Show” category at a Silicon Graphics (SGI) SIGRAPH awards banquet (right behind “Beauty and the Beast”:-)).

Original music is presented here using early electronic simulated orchestra instruments.  Instrumentation calls for:  flute and wood flute, pipe organ, 2 xylophones and bells (left and right), cymbals, synthesizer, and strings.
